Privacy Policy

Who we are

Scriptune is operated by Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune (referred to here as "we," "us," or "Scriptune").

Information we collect

We collect the name and email you sign up with, the verses you save and your listening progress, the genres and emotion tags you choose, the songs you play, and your referral activity: the code you share, who joins through it, and the free months you earn. We also keep any verses you choose to share through the sharing feature.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share it only with the service providers listed below who help us run Scriptune, and only as much as they need to do that work.

Emotion tags and church partners

When you tell us where you are at, whether that is grief, fear, gratitude, or anything else, we use that only in aggregate, alongside everyone else's choices, to decide which verses and genres to create next. Church and organization partners in our referral program never see individual activity. They see totals for their own referrals, such as how many people joined and what commission is owed. They never see who chose which emotion, which verses you saved, or what you listened to.

How we use it

Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune uses this information to operate your account, track your memorization progress, and generate your personalized experience within the app.

Third-party services we rely on

Scriptune uses a managed cloud database and authentication provider for accounts and data storage, ElevenLabs and Replicate to generate music and vocals and to check each song against the verse text, an email delivery provider for account and partner emails, and Stripe for payments. Our brand typefaces are bundled with the app and do not load from external font services. The audio you hear on Scriptune is generated using artificial intelligence.

Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number and billing details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We keep only what we need to know your plan status: your email, plan type, subscription state, and renewal date. Stripe's own privacy practices govern the payment information you give them.

Reminders and notifications

If you turn on daily reminders, we store the push subscription your browser or device gives us, along with your time zone and the hour you asked to be reminded, so the reminder arrives in your morning rather than ours. We do not use that subscription for advertising. Turning reminders off in your account settings, or in your device or browser settings, removes it.

Shared links

When you share a verse, we create a link that anyone holding it can open without signing in. It shows the verse, the song, and any message you attached. Please do not include private information in that message. You can ask us to disable a shared link at any time.

Data retention and your rights

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Account settings, under "Delete your account," which removes your saved verses, progress, reminders and referral history and cancels any active subscription. If you ask us to delete your account instead, we remove your personal information within 30 days, apart from records we are required to keep, such as billing and tax records, which we retain for as long as the law requires. Aggregate figures that cannot identify you, such as how many people chose a genre, may remain.

Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you may exercise your rights under the CCPA and CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we will never treat you differently for exercising a right. Write to info@scriptune.app and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Our service providers, including our cloud database, our AI music providers, and Stripe, may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard for those transfers.

How we protect your information

Accounts are protected by our authentication provider, data is encrypted in transit, and database access is restricted row by row so one person cannot read another person's saved verses or activity. No system is perfect, and we will notify affected users and regulators as required if a breach ever occurs.

Children's privacy

Scriptune is not directed at children under 13, and Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Cookies

Scriptune uses basic session and authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted here.
