Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Scriptune, you agree to these Terms of Use with Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune.

Description of service

Scriptune provides AI-generated musical settings of Scripture verses to help you memorize them.

Accounts and eligibility

You agree to provide accurate account information. Scriptune is not directed at children under 13, and Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune does not knowingly permit accounts for children under 13.

Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

Scriptune offers a Free plan and paid plans as described on the Pricing page: Premium at $9.97 per month or $69.97 per year, and Family at $119.97 per year. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and do not include any taxes that may apply where you live. Everyone pays the same price. We do not offer discounts or promotional codes.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annual, at the then-current price, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge that payment method on each renewal.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not require you to call or write a letter to cancel.

If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect on your subscription, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not want to continue.

Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, except where a refund is required by law. If something went wrong, write to us at info@scriptune.app within 14 days of the charge and we will review it in good faith. Refunds we grant apply to the current period only and end access at the time of the refund.

Ministry attribution

You may choose a church, ministry, or partner to receive credit for your subscription. Choosing a partner never changes the price you pay. It only records who receives the 10% we set aside from our own share. You may change or remove your selection at any time in your account settings.

Songs, sharing, and your content

Songs generated in Scriptune are licensed to you for personal devotional use, private listening, and sharing through the links we provide. They may not be sold, uploaded to streaming or monetized platforms, used in paid products, or used to train other models. Small-scale, non-commercial use in a local church or family setting is welcome; write to us for anything broader.

When you share a verse, we create a link that anyone holding it can open without signing in. Do not put private information in the message you attach to a shared link. You keep ownership of any text you write, and you grant us permission to store and display it as needed to operate the sharing feature.

AI-generated audio

Music and vocals in Scriptune are generated by artificial intelligence, as described on our AI Transparency page. Scripture text is used verbatim and every song is checked for lyric fidelity before you hear it, but automated systems are not perfect. Read the verse alongside the song, and tell us if you ever hear something that does not match the text.

Notifications

If you turn on daily reminders, you are asking us to send push notifications to that device. You can turn them off in your account settings or in your device or browser settings at any time. We may still send account and billing emails, such as receipts and password resets, while your account is open.

Copyright concerns

Scripture quotations are from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. If you believe something on Scriptune infringes your copyright, write to info@scriptune.app with a description of the work, the location of the material, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will review and remove material where appropriate, and we may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the service. The sharing feature must not be used to distribute unlawful content.

Intellectual property

Scriptune's branding, design, and original written content are owned by Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune. Scripture text quoted in the service is from the World English Bible and is in the public domain. AI-generated audio is provided for personal devotional and sharing use.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of twenty-five U.S. dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or content you share through the service.

Termination

Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing anything, please write to info@scriptune.app so we can try to resolve it in good faith.

Changes to these terms

Superlative Alternatives Inc., DBA Scriptune may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
